LG announced the Chromebase, the first all-in-one Chrome OS desktop

LG has announced the Chrome OS powered desktop, the Chromebase which will be officially unveiled at CES 2014. Besides that the chrome OS based Samsung’s ChromeBox Series successful journey in laptop and the company has decided to put it up against the Apple’s iMac and Windwos based all in–one desktop.


According to the LG Press report, the Chromebase is an all-in-one Desktop like the iMac but operates on the Chrome OS. The Chromebase sports a 21.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The Chrome desktop features a 16GB of solid state storage and powered by an unspecified Intel Celeron processor alongside 2GB RAM. The Chromebase has accessories like Keyboard, Mouse, cable organizer and a 1.3MP Webcam. 

The Chromebase has slated ports like HDMI, USB 2.0 x 3, USB 3.0 x 1, LAN. The LG press report of the company notes  state the Chromebase will be popular for schools, hotels and other prestigious places.
