Overview

Blackberry has launched the Curve 9315 just before the much awaited Blackberry Z10. With such a high-expectation product lined up, the Curve 9315 did not quite grab the attention. Featuring the BlackBerry 7.1 OS, this is more of a business oriented phone. However the market, is full of surprises, may simply outrun the Curve 9315 much easier, but the BlackBerry is no less than a capable smartphone.

A full QWERTY keypad, 3.2MP camera with flash, light weight, easy to hold sizeable smart phone, etc., the BlackBerry might not put up big specifications but sure is capable in it's own way.

Hardware

The BlackBerry Curve 9315 is quite slim, light weight and easy to hold. The BlackBerry has not come up, other than BlackBerry Z10, to the competitive market with it's big screen, powerful processors, high megapixel camera, more battery, etc., With a mere 2.4" screen, at 164 pixels per inch, the display is decent enough. The 3.2 MP camera with flash,  is more of a mobile camera than a capable camera.

The positive feature about this phone is the QWERTY keypad, that the BlackBerry has always been famous for, and the optical trackpad that make it an easy to use device. However, on the downside would be the battery life merely lasting a day.

The network facilities are top mark with BlackBerry Internet and BlackBerry Enterprise Server now being able to access via Wi-Fi. Built in GPS, BlackBerry maps are handy to use.

Software

Accounting for the BlackBerry 7 OS, Curve 9315 features the BlackBerry 7.1 OS, is fluent, secure, faster BlackBerry browser, Augmented reality, Near Field Communication, it offers a smooth and responsive interface to the Curve 9315.

The BlackBerry World has got an update making it more attractive and more apps giving the BlackBerry owners a little smile on their face. With 512 MB RAM, quite sufficient, the BlackBerry is capable of tasks assigned, carrying them out without trouble.

With rival brands offering higher specifications and different user interfaces, the BlackBerry struggles hard to put up a show/nor able to attract audience.

Verdict

BlackBerry Curve 9315, is the latest addition to the Curve family by the brand. Not being able to equip with big and enormous features, it is a typical business smartphone, and is a star in that category. Owing to it's design and weight, this BlackBerry comfortably sits in one hand and is easy to use as well as navigate. However, in the market, with other brands having similar phones at economic conditions, advanced features and variety available, the BlackBerry Curve 9315 may fail to attract the crowd's attention.
